ABOUT US

An exciting new chapter begins…

Following its acquisition in February 2026, The King’s Head in East Hoathly is now proudly owned by the local community. This isn’t just a change of ownership. It’s a promise… to deliver a traditional village pub to be proud of.

Under community ownership, this beautiful Grade II listed building in the heart of East Sussex will now be protected and preserved as a pub for generations to come. You can find out how a village rallied and bought it’s beloved local (and why that’s good news for everyone) here.

We’ve had a refresh… and there’s more to come!

Since purchasing the pub, we’ve sympathetically restored, preserved and refurbished our historic main bar to bring you a traditional pub that’s warm and welcoming, fresh but familiar. We’ve upgraded some areas and facilities too, including new-look washrooms and free full-coverage Wi-Fi. From a perfectly poured pint to a cosy log fire, we want to get the details right. Take a look at our newly refreshed spaces by visiting our gallery.

Now we’re planning the same level of improvements for our gardens, functions rooms and micro brewery, providing a range of beautiful spaces for you to enjoy. Keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram pages for updates coming soon!
